  • A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) provides a comprehensive and objective measure of a person’s ability to perform everyday tasks and functional work-related activities. It is a useful tool to gauge a person’s physical ability, readiness for work and maximum capability in a role.

An FCE is conducted by a qualified Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist.

  • Born Fit's on-site assessments help to understand the specific demands of a job role. We analyse work tasks, work environments and the skills needed to provide valuable advice to insurers and employers about making workplace modifications for a safe and sustainable return to work.

  • Both of our vocational assessments offer a holistic understanding of a person’s employability in the current labour market. We look at a person’s skills, qualifications and any limitations a person may have due to an injury or illness. This helps when planning to return to work or finding new job opportunities that are a good fit for your unique needs.

  • Rehabilitation goes beyond just the physical aspects; it also involves dealing with mental and social factors. Our MindBalance assessment is a biopsychosocial tool that dives deep into these areas, providing a complete picture of a person's overall well-being and the barriers to a successful return to work.

  • Ergonomic assessments help to ensure that a person's work environment is designed to minimise the risk of discomfort, pain and injury. BornFit will evaluate a person's workplace setup, tools and tasks to ensure they are ergonomically designed for comfort, efficiency, and safety.

  • An Earning Capacity Assessment (ECA) examines suitable vocational opportunities based on a person's abilities and limitations. This assessment considers medical history, physical abilities, job history, and other relevant information.
